Mileage: 8.6 miles
Vertical Gain: 775 feet
Route: Standard

September 21, 2002

Black Mesa is the highest point in Oklahoma located in the panhandle near the New Mexico/Colorado border. Kenton is the nearest town which consists of a general store and that's pretty much it. From the store in Kenton proceed east for .6 miles and then turn left on a road marking the way to Colorado. On this road travel about 5 miles to the trailhead located on the left side of the road.
